  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth. The batter will be thin.
  4. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
  7. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and serve!
